The Electrical Burner Test Machine Model SPK-503 is designed to conduct the French M‑Class fire resistance test in accordance with the NFP 92‑503 standard. During testing, samples are exposed to controlled thermal radiation from a calibrated radiant furnace while simultaneously subjected to direct flame impact.

The combustion behavior of the specimens is evaluated by observing flame propagation, continuation of combustion, dripping behavior, and damage length. Based on these observations, the fire performance of materials is assessed to determine compliance with the requirements of the French M1 fire classification.
